A mosque stands as the heart of a Muslim community, serving as a sanctuary for reflection and devotion, while also acting as a hub for educational endeavors and pastoral care. Its significance lies in its role of spreading Islam's teachings and nurturing the moral and spiritual growth of its congregants. Beyond its spiritual importance, constructing a mosque not only fulfills a sacred duty but also ensures a lasting legacy of charity, benefiting future generations by the grace of Allah. Through the generous contributions of donors like you, G&Y has erected 95 mosques and facilitated the repair of many others, witnessing over 151,100 congregational prayers held within these sacred spaces, with numbers steadily rising. Indeed, your donations have granted people the serenity to pray with ease and tranquility. May Allah SWT accept these benevolent offerings and bless both this world and the hereafter with His abundance. The cost of constructing a mosque varies depending on its size. For instance, a mosque accommodating 130 to 150 worshippers necessitates a donation of $10,000, covering construction expenses along with the provision of ablution facilities. Gratefully, in 2020, we completed the construction of 18 mosques, with an additional 20 slated for completion in 2021 across various regions including Sylhet, Lalmonirhat, Panchaghar, and Magura. Our commitment remains steadfast in erecting more mosques and refurbishing smaller ones in local villages, ensuring that residents can engage in prayer harmoniously, comfortably, and collectively.
